Website development
A marketing site that explains what you do and brings in the request. Fixed scope, fixed price, a date.
Read more →A move is a one-off purchase. The customer compares three quotes and almost always picks whoever names a clear figure first.
Every request starts with the same five questions: from where to where, how many cubic metres, which floor, is there a lift, and when. Without those answers you cannot name a price, so you call back, ask them, and half a day is gone. In that half day the customer already has two other quotes.
The alternative many removal firms pick is a survey visit for every request. That works for large moves, but for a student room or a single sofa it costs more than the job earns. Meanwhile removals are seasonal: in June the phone never stops and in January it does, and the site has to do something useful in both months.
Somebody is moving from a third-floor flat with no lift in Lelystad to a house in Dronten on 14 June. They fill that in on your site in ninety seconds. You get a request containing everything you need to send an indication within the hour. That customer does not have a second quote yet, and in this trade that is the entire difference.
A removals and courier company moving anything from one sofa to a whole house, anywhere in the Netherlands.
Sixteen pages in English and Dutch, with city landing pages and a quote flow. In development.

Read more →A site we built for this trade. See what went into it.
Read more →One urgent run is a customer for a day. One contract client shipping weekly is a customer for years. Your site has to win the second without turning away the first.
Read more →You do not win jobs by having the best site. You win them by replying first, and the site exists to make sure they message you at all.
Read more →The worst time to replace a site is after it has already fallen over. The second worst is without a plan for your existing URLs.
Read more →Not necessarily a rate, but an indication or a method. A site with no price signal at all gets skipped by everybody collecting three quotes.
If it is honest, yes. A calculator giving a range and saying the final price follows confirmation works better than one promising an exact figure you then have to revise.
Same site, own page. Storage is a different search with a different customer, often with no move attached.
Send a short brief. You get a fixed scope, a fixed price and a delivery date back — not an open-ended engagement.
