Custom software for the one process nobody else runs your way, and that you are currently holding together with spreadsheets.
Read more →Nobody buys solar panels. People buy a lower energy bill, and your site has to show how much lower.
This is a market that moves with policy. A change to the feed-in rules or a new subsidy round changes from one month to the next how many enquiries arrive and what people ask. A site with a subsidy page from last year is worse than no page at that moment, because it gives wrong information to somebody making a ten-thousand-euro decision.
On top of that the purchase is a calculation. The customer wants to know what it costs, what it returns and in how many years it pays back. You can only say that once you know their roof area, orientation and consumption. Most installer sites do not ask and offer a contact form instead, after which the whole conversation has to happen on the phone anyway.
Somebody with a terraced house in Dronten is considering solar. On your site they enter their roof area, orientation and annual consumption and get an indication: this many panels, this much yield, paid back in this many years, with the current scheme named and the date that information is accurate. Only then do they request a quote. That is a customer already convinced before you speak to them, and one who will not go and see three others.

It is the most expensive component on such a site and usually the only one that demonstrably pays for itself, because it removes the first phone call. We say what it costs up front so you can make that call.
Yes, as its own page. It is often the same customer at a different moment, and whoever bought their panels from you buys their charger from you too — if they know you do them.
Send a short brief. You get a fixed scope, a fixed price and a delivery date back — not an open-ended engagement.
